"For J's" Prime Rib Roast

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 lb boneless ribeye roast
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons "For J's" Garlic or Maui Onion Sea Salt

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 475° to 500°.
  2. Rub "For J's" sea salt evenly over prime rib and place in roasting pan.
  3. Cook in preheated oven for 20 minutes to sear surface of roast.
  4. Lower heat to 200° and continue roasting for at least 1 hour.

Use meat thermometer to periodically check temperature until desired doneness is reached.

Rare - Medium Rare 125° - 130°
Medium 135°
Medium Well 145°
Well Done 145° and above

Let roast rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.
