"For J's" Pork Roast


4 pounds pork butt (boneless)
1 1/2 Tablespoons "For J's Garlic Salt"
3-4 garlic cloves (slices)


  1. Insert small paring knife (2-3 inches deep) all over roast for just the right amount of garlic slices. Then insert garlic slices in each pocket.
  2. Rub “for J’s” Sea Salt all over pork and marinate over night in refrigerator.
  3. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Place pork in pan, fat side up & uncovered. Roast for 1hr & 20 minutes. Then check with a meat thermometer periodically until it reaches 160 degrees.
  4. Let roast rest for 15 to 20 minutes before slicing.


  1. As your pork rest, pour drippings into a sauce pan.
  2. Add 1 can chicken or beef broth to drippings.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste if needed.
  4. Thicken by adding cornstarch/water mixture or flour/water mixture and bring to a boil to preferred thickness.
